Heather Hoechst will be the dinner's featured speaker. Heather Hoechst, of Farmington, New Mexico, will be the featured speaker at the 2016 Pre-race Dinner. Heather ran a personal best and won the 2015 Tussey mOUnTaiNBACK women’s ultramarathon race. She is a graduate of Penn State University Dickinson School of Law. In her day job, Heather represents Navajo people in legal matters related to health. She works closely with the Navajo Medical Center. Prior to accepting her current position, she worked in Philadelphia as a staff attorney for Women Against Abuse. Of the running in her new environs, says Heather: “The San Juan mountains are unbelievable and the running around Farmington isn't bad!”

The mOUnTaiNBACK's Pre-race Dinner has become a highlight of the race weekend. The dinner is onfrom - and is available to all participants and their crews.
The dinner program will also include remarks from Marisa Vicere, from our event beneficiary, the Jana Marie Foundation, and a short video from the race.
Menu: An all-you-can-eat dinner buffet, which includes tossed green and Caesar salad, chicken breasts, choice of two pastas and three sauces (marinara, meat sauce, alfredo), vegetable of the day, rolls, coffee, tea, water, and assorted desserts, including tiramisu. Price: $18.
