Ultramarathon Division
Cash Purse Awards
The 2022 mOUnTaiNBACK will offer an Ultramarathon prize purse 3 deep, with cash awards going to the top finishers as follows:

| Men's Masters | $50 | $40 | $20 |
| Women's Masters | $50 | $40 | $20 |
Masters runners are allowed to win awards in both open and masters categories. A masters entrant that wins the overall title wins both the Open and Masters cash purse.
Athletes may double dip (e.g., masters man is third overall, also gets masters award).
Course Records
$100 bonus will be awarded for a new men's or women's open course record and $75 bonus for a new men's or women's masters course record.
Non-Cash Awards
Tussey mOUnTaiNBACK winner's plaque to the top Men's and Women's Open, Masters, and Military finisher.
All Ultra runners who complete the race will receive a mOUnTaiNBACK Finisher's medal.
Relay Division
The Relay Division offers the following awards:
1. Overall Winning Team
The overall first place team earns $100. See below for course records.
2. Relay Category Winner Awards
A custom Tussey mOUnTaiNBACK winner's team plaque and individual runner medals will be awarded to the top Men's, Women's and Mixed Supra (2-person) and Tri/Quad (3-4 person) teams, the top team in each division of the Standard (5-6 person) and Mega (7-8 person) categories, and the top Military team (see below).
3. Military Awards
The mOUnTaiNBACK has enjoyed spirited and talented participation by ROTC teams from Penn State University and Virginia Military Institute (see ROTC history) and sees a great opportunity for expanded military participation and competition. The winning team receives a team champion plaque and each team member receives a custom mOUnTaiNBACK medal. Military teams are also eligible to win the overall Mega (Men's, Women's and Mixed) category awards.
4. Course Records
A course record by the overall first place team earns a bonus $100. A course record by the overall women's team earns $100.
To Runners
Tussey mOUnTaiNBACK Performance Shirts to all registered runners (availability is not guaranteed for those registering after Sept. 29).
To All Participants and Supporters
Runners, support crews, family and volunteers are invited to attend the mOUnTaiNBACK post-race awards presentation at the finish line area.
